For example, clients need to know that after a spray tan session, they should forgo foundation. One of the main reasons people get airbrush tans is to give skin a golden glow. And foundation, which has a matte finish, will quickly make that radiance disappear.

Use bronzers

Blush can look flat. A bronzer, on the other hand, will help to maintain that sun-kissed glow.

Think pale for lips

Lip gloss with a tint of color looks fresh and natural. Darker, more opaque shades as well as lip liners will make a tanned face look overdone.

Go light on the eyes

Eye shadow colors should be light as well. Some especially nice shades include pale pink or warm peach. The same goes for eyeliner: instead of black, clients should use charcoal gray or brown.
